    Given under my Hand and Seal
this 23rd day of November 1838 in the
second year of Her Majesty's Reign.

“We understand that out townsman, Mr. Henry Kinross has been appointed coachmaker to the Queen for Scotland, and that the warrant to this effect, under the hand and seal of Lord Albermarle, Master of the Horse, has been received by Mr. Kinross.  This is a mark of distinction of which Stirling may well be proud; while to Mr. Kinross personally, it must be gratifying to know that his skill and enterprise as a coach-builder, has been appreciated in the highest quarters”.  The Stirling Observer, 20th December 1838, page 4.

The Royal Warrant was conveyed in letters by Lord Dalmeny in 1838.
